There are all sorts of Jamberry reviews online, but as I share my Jamberry story with you, understand that I am not the type to ever be a consultant of any kind, or even to focus on something as small and seemingly insignificant as my fingernails. Having four small children (six-years-old and under) to care for day in and day out, my mind is on many, many other things. But as I unexpectedly found myself trying and then really liking the Jamberry products – I really surprised myself by actually becoming curious about being a Jamberry independent consultant. It started with a curiosity, then I really considered it, then finally something or I should say, someone, encouraged me – my husband Jim. I am very glad he did.
It all started when I noticed my friend’s cute nails. I would see her at music class for the kids and I always asked: “where did you get your nails done?” They were so fun and looked like they were professionally done. Her answer was always the same, “Jamberry nail wraps.”
I had no idea what Jamberry nail wraps were and since I really did not have time to follow up and find out, it took me a while to catch on. Eventually, my friend became a consultant and she explained more about Jamberry to me. It did not exactly seem like my style, but I like a good excuse to get together with friends so I asked if I could have a home party. I scheduled it with her, hoping mostly for some needed “girl time,” but I was also interested in trying the nail wraps for myself and to find out the real deal about Jamberry nails.
The home party was so much fun! This is where I first became convinced of the value and quality of the Jamberry products and when I initially became curious about consulting. In return for hosting the party, my friend gave me AND my two daughters each a free set of nail wraps for a manicure before the party. I was really impressed. I also received some free hostess rewards for hosting a party.
After the Jamberry party, I used my rewards and received free lacquer, nail wraps, and a mini heater (which are awesome!) in the mail. I tried them immediately. The Jamberry lacquer I received was the best nail polish I had ever used. It was also “5 free” which means it is free from the 5 most common chemicals found in nail polishes (Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate – DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor) – Yuck! Being as natural as possible with beauty products is very important to me, so this was an excellent sign!
Every woman’s nails are different, so I did notice there are a few tricks to learn in order to get the wraps to stay on as long as they claim (negative reviews often blow this way out of proportion). Looking at the whole picture, I was pretty firmly sold on this product as the pros vastly outnumbered the cons. The nail wraps are non-toxic, the assortment is huge and varied, they stay on much longer than polish, and the results are fun, cute, and look professional.
I began to research how someone becomes a Jamberry consultant and what is required. Part of what was drawing me was that I could share this product with my two daughters, and they had as much fun as I did hosting the Jamberry party. I also wanted other women to “treat” themselves to something they normally would not be able to do, possibly due to lack of money and/or lack of time. The wraps are a great price for a number of manicures and pedicures you can get out of them. And once you get the application process down, they save you a ton of time. It is also a nice extra bonus that there is no dry time and you do not need that stinky polish remover to get them off.
I was warming to the thought of becoming a consultant, but as a super busy stay-at-home mom, I really did not need any more work to do. This is when my husband Jim actually encouraged me to sign up as a consultant. He noticed how much fun I was having and that it did not look like it was draining me, but somehow it was actually putting a little extra pep in my step. I reflected on his feedback and realized it was true.
I was not spending crazy amounts of time on it, and the time I was spending on it was life-giving to me and my family. Now a few months into being a Jamberry consultant, I can honestly say that it is something that does not need to cut into my other very important responsibilities and it is super enjoyable as it has given me a fun, creative outlet that has been wonderful so far. It has given me a chance to meet new women, get out of my comfort zone, and encourage ladies to take some quality time for themselves, no matter what their state in life is. It has also been a financial blessing to my family as I am able to earn some extra income to help us balance our monthly budget.
I still do not wear nail polish or wraps all the time, but when I do, I always have so much fun getting them on and picking new creative ways to wear them. You can match them to the colors of the current season, sports images for the nearest holiday, or even represent your favorite sports team. And get this – you can even design your own.
Well, that is my real life, honest Jamberry nails review. I encourage you to try Jamberry and check it out for yourself.
