To start, the Zyppah RX is by no means a beauty queen. It is odd looking and is green and black. But, we are not trying to win beauty contests, are we? We are here to stop snoring! So the question isn’t is the Zyppah RX attractive because it ain’t. The question is Does the Zyppah RX actually work. We aren’t really worried about how it looks, we are worried about how well we will sleep or how well our partner will sleep.
You have probably seen this thing on TV being sold by old Bob Eubanks. Does that guy look familiar? Yep! He was the host of The Newlywed Game. So one is left to wonder, does this crazy looking contraption actually work, or are they just getting some celeb to hawk the product to get it to sell?
So, we first have to ask what makes this Zyppah RX product better than any other mouthpiece. Lets first start with the price. Ther are many mouthpieces out there that are well over $100. The Zyppah RX is far below that. It is around $30 cheaper than the others.

Is It Comfortable?
You may have worn a retainer in your younger years. I did. Not a comfortable thing at all! You will be surprised with how comfortable the Zyppah RX really is. It looks like it is made from hard plastic like a retainer in all the pictures. It is not at all. In fact, it is quite a bit softer. They say in their advertisements that it molds to fit your mouth. I was very skeptical about that. But it really does. It actually does that quite well. It has what they call a tongue stabilizer across the top. I was afraid that it would make me gag, but it didn’t. It actually performs its job perfectly without causing any issues.
With your purchase, they also include a guide on getting a better nights sleep. It actually has some very useful tips in it that you will be able to actually use, and it will benefit your partner as well.
Cons:
It has a trial of $9.95. Which is actually great if it works for you, but some of the other companies offer a full guarantee. However, as stated above, they are quite a bit more expensive.
It is ugly. Seriously ugly. But then again it doesn’t really have to be pretty to work!!
Zyppah RX Mouthpiece
There are many mouthpieces designed to prevent snoring. The Zyppah RX mouthpiece stands out above competitors like GMSS, ZQuiet, and Vital Sleep. Zyppah stands out because it works. I will explain why Zyppah is superior.
Let me begin with the fact that from the first night I used the Zyppah Rx I have felt healthier. This is because I have improved sleep, which makes me feel more energetic, and my wife can sleep now too!
When I was searching for a mouthpiece to ease my snoring, I reviewed several products. Zyppah was different. Reviews of the ZQuiet mouthpiece stated that it molded to the teeth, however, the Zyppah mouthpiece molds to the teeth much better. During sleep, the ZQuiet loses its form, thus preventing the ability to keep the mouth closed entirely through the night. The Zyppah has an edge around the mouthpiece that facilitates its forming to teeth. The edge prevents the mouthpiece from losing its shape. This edge makes the Zyppah lock and stays in place while a person sleeps.
Zyppah Rx is like the other mouthpieces in that it is a mouthpiece, however, the way it is designed; your teeth lock, preventing your lower jaw from sliding and causing snoring. The Zyppah Rx also has a tongue depressor, which keeps the tongue from moving back. It is impossible to snoring when the tongue and jaw are both held forward. Neither one of them can block your airway.
How Does The Zyppah RX Work?
In my main post above, I was more providing a customer review of the Zyppah RX. But I never really got into how does the Zyppah RX work and what is it made of.
The Zyppah RX is made of a patent- pending elastic. It looks like a hard contraption in the pictures but it is actually very pliable. I thought it would not be comfortable as most anti snore mouthpieces are not, but it is pliable enough that it is very comfortable. I was expecting it to feel like a hard plastic but the elastic is more rubbery.
OK, so how does the Zyppah RX work? The Zyppah moves your jaw forward slightly to open the airway a bit more. By doing this, it improves the airflow and reduces the sound of snoring. Nearly every mouthpiece uses this same technique, but you can only move the jaw forward so far.
This is where the Zyppah RX is different. They have a patented tongue stabilizer. This keeps the tongue from falling backward and opens the airway a bit more. During sleep, your tongue relaxes and falls backward. The Zyppah RX keeps the tongue from doing so without giving you that gag reflex. The relaxing of the tongue is actually the root cause when it comes to snoring. That is how the Zyppah RX works so efficiently. It goes above and beyond just moving your jaw forward like the other mouthpieces.
